DEDICATION

This book is dedicated to my loving mother, who of course, without, I wouldn’t have been born. More importantly though, she instilled in us, a sense of adventure. We learned at an early age that we could do anything that we set our minds to. She brought us up against all odds, literally by herself, because of the fact that our father had physical & later, mental problems as we were growing up.

She herself had a very rough life as a girl & young woman. Her father was from the old, old school. He did not spare the “Rod” by any means. Actually he used a leather whip instead of a rod. He was a Free Methodist minister & definitely believed in discipline & that children should be seen & not heard.

She taught us to respect our elders & fellow man. She took us to church as babies so we could learn as soon as we could understand, the love of God & the teachings of the Word of God. She said after we grew up that she failed us as a mother, but she did the best she knew how & taking us to church at an early age was probably the one thing that influenced us the most, growing up.
